Wine Tour: One Day in Douro with a River Cruise

This is the most complete way to experience the Douro without an overnight stay, combining a private driver, a wine estate visit, and a cruise on the river itself.

Discover Douro Valley by Train, Full Day Experience

For travelers who want the Douro's best views without getting behind the wheel, the train follows the river the entire way from Porto to Pinhão.  The journey starts at São Bento Railway Station, widely considered one of the most beautiful train stations in the world, known for its roughly 20,000 hand-painted "azulejo" tiles depicting scenes from Portuguese history.
