MARÉ is José Avillez's new restaurant in Cascais, overlooking the sea and with a cuisine based on the unique flavor and freshness of Portuguese fish and seafood.

Although fish and seafood dominate MARÉ's menu, that doesn't mean that the “From the Frying Pan" meat dishes, such as the Sirloin, Café-style sauce and French fries or the Veal steaks, mustard and caper sauce, black rice, and French fries are unmissable.
The new restaurant has two rooms and two terraces facing the sea. The interior design, signed by the Anahoryalmeida studio, includes various elements evocative of the ocean, such as the tile panels that refer to the seabed and were made and painted in the renowned Viúva Lamego factory, following an illustration by the artist Henriette Arcelin.
