Alentejo is one of the most beautiful regions of the country, a land where culture and tradition go hand in hand. There is something deeply reinvigorating and redeeming about the Alentejo landscape of the endless golden hues, the vastness of rolling plains with large oak trees, the spotless blue sky and obviously its people.

If you're interested in both culture and the good things in life such as wine and food in Alentejo (and Alentejo is one of the best regions in the world for tasting both!), in this 3-day tour in Alentejo you will be able to visit world-renowned wine producing estates and enjoy different cultural and wine experiences in one of the best regions for wine tourism in the world, according to the USA Today.

Day 1 in Alentejo - Spa Experience and Wine Tasting

While in Alentejo, deepen your knowledge of wine at L'AND Vineyards, a unique project inspired by wine in all of its details, where you will be able to take a beginner's wine-tasting course with wine pairings and visit the cellars and vineyards that represent the state's identity. At L'AND enjoy a relaxing SPA treatment at the exclusive Land by Caudalie, with a massage with beauty and relaxing products based in the grape properties.

To end the day, check in at Convento do Espinheiro and enjoy a guided tour to the hotel, an ancient cloister. Visit the gothic cellar and taste the famous wines from Alentejo. Have dinner at Divinus, the hotel's restaurant where the old winery of the Cloister used to be, with a menu prepared with the best regional products, and a great wine list.

Day 2 - Trip to Arraiolos, Picnic in the Vineyard, and Wine & Food Experience

Check out at Convento do Espinheiro and continue your journey in Alentejo. We suggest a visit to Arraiolos, a typical village in Alentejo, home to the famous and traditional Portuguese tapestry, made with a combination of the old Moorish techniques with the traditional Portuguese method.

Head to Monte da Ravasqueira, a famous wine producer and winery in Alentejo. Take a guided tour of the estate, visiting the cellar, vineyards, and winery with wine tasting, and take your time to enjoy a picnic near the winery overlooking the vineyard and visit the Carriage Museum.

Head to Herdade da Malhadinha Nova check in at the estate and relax after a complete day in Alentejo. Enjoy a Wine and gourmet dinner at the estate's restaurant, accompanied by the best wines of the region.

Day 3 - Harvest Experience and Regional Products Tasting

Check out Herdade da Malhadinha Nova and start your day in the best way with a wine harvest experience at Herdade dos Grous. Late August, September, and October are special months for wine-producing estates, so be a part of this amazing experience in the Portuguese wine-making tradition. Enjoy the buzzing rhythm of the wine production through a walk in the vineyards and a guided tour of the wine cellar, where you will learn the winemaking process and end the experience with a special harvest-inspired tasting lunch.

Head for Herdade do Sobroso, where you will visit the vineyard and winery and have a wine and regional products experience with the tasting of three wines, followed by a tasting of cheeses and sausages of the region.

End the day near the Alqueva, appreciating the view and the calm landscape.

This visit to Alentejo includes one night at a Deluxe Garden View Room at Convento do Espinheiro and a second night in a Double Room at Herdade da Malhadinha Nova. As for the meals, we recommend dinner at Divinus restaurant and at Wine & Gourmet Dinner, in herdade da Malhadinha Nova. We also recommend starting your Alentejo holidays with a relaxing and reinvigorating Caudalie Massage at L'AND Vineyards Resort proceeding of a Beginner's wine-tasting course with wine pairings to discover Alentejo's great wines. On the following days, enjoy a guided tour with a picnic at Monte da Ravasqueira and conclude with a wine tasting experience at Herdade do Sobroso
