Day 1: Explore and Get Familiar With the Douro Valley

Day 2: Explore Some Wineries of this Region

On the second day, you will enjoy the day by unveiling some secrets of some of the finest Quinta in the Douro Valley. First, you will visit the famed Quinta do Crasto. Located between Régua and Pinhão, Quinta do Crasto is owned by the family of Leonor and Jorge Roquette for more than a century. Its origin dates back to the 19th century. The first known references date back to 1615. You will visit the vineyards, including the famous old vineyards of Quinta do Crasto, the winery, and the barrel cellar. After the visit, you will have a tasting of five wines. The next stop will be at Quinta Nova Nossa Senhora do Carmo. This estate is a place of extreme beauty in the heart of the Douro and it's owned by the Amorim family since 1999. But this property was before 1764 and historical research confirms it as a great land belonging to the Portuguese Royal Family. The historic sites that are still preserved today and open for visitors reveal all this: the creek, the gazebo, the stone mark of the Marquis of Pombal dated 1758, the cellar's crest, two chapels, and three secular orchards. You will have a guided tour through the vines, the winery dated from 1764, and the underground cellar. The visit ends with a tasting of three wines at the wine shop.

Day 3: A Unique Private Cruise in the Douro River

In the end, you will finish this incredible tour in the best way possible - with a private two-hour cruise. This will start in the morning, and while onboard at the sailboat, you will learn more about the Portuguese history, and also feel the nature as it travels through the Douro River in a fantastic traditional Rabelo boat moved through the force of the sails.
